Infiltrate Zine 1.0 - Stage One: A publication built to document, expose, and preserve the pulse of the underground electronic music scene—rooted in Miami, but echoing across the globe.
From the late ’90s through the early 2000s, a network of DJs, pirate radio stations, graphic designers, promoters, and record labels carved out spaces beyond the mainstream—warehouses, backrooms, after-hours sanctuaries. This zine exists to archive those moments: the sound, the energy, the movement, and the people who lived it.

A transmission from a time when connection was analog/digital, discovery was physical, and the underground was a way of life—not a trend.
Stage One begins in Miami—but the signal was always worldwide.
Brief Infiltrate background/history. Founded and executed in 1999. Inside the first (then called) Ultra Beach Festival and during the WMC on Miami Beach. Created by designer/Beta Bodega record label owner La Mano Fria with the support of the underground scene to counter the commercialism and lack of industry reach out to local labels/artists during Winter Music Conference. A virus planted inside the belly of the beast, that would feed and nourish the local Miami underground scene. It soon became known as the anti-Winter Music Conference event and drew local, national and international artists throughout the years such as Mr. Lif, Prefuse 73, Machinedrum, Mix Master Morris, 09, Proem, Richard Devine, Ectomorph, Deviant, Ed Bobb, Leekon, Craze, Questlove (Roots), Otto von Scirach, Phoenecia, Cannibal Ox, V8, Epstein, ROM, Jake Mandell, Sadat X, Aesop Rock, Mike Ladd, Yesh, Panda One, Doormouse, Skymall, Beta Bodega Coalition, Spam Allstars, DJ Aura, DJ Infamous, DJ Assualt, DJ Godfather, Needle, Cornocopia, Phonem, Serum, Algorithm/Evolver (now May Day), CYNE, Supersoul, etc…Plot/V8/La Mano Fria - Tried by 12 remixes world premiere 1998 - OHM 94.3 FM - Limited Edition Cassette
